19 August 2008! It is the date of my 23rd birthday and this year it is an unforgettable one. On 12am sharp entering 19 August 2008, my sister celebrated for me in a bar. It has been years I last celebrated with her. It was not the hang over kind of celebration, so I manage to get up early to catch my super early morning bus back to KL.
So, how did I spend my birthday? Half of my day was sleeping in the bust and the whole afternoon cleaning my room! The real celebration starts in the evening.
After picking up Theen Kin from his work place, head to the dining venue. He did not tell me where so I do not know where. KL was not as jam as it used to be around 7pm, you know why? Simply because it is my birthday! HAHA! When we reach KL, Theen Kin told me that we are going to eat in Coconut Tree (some place near Pudu Raya). In my mine was like…er ok. It is pretty easy to tell lies on where we are heading in KL because I have no idea about the roads in KL. After all the lies, turning and U-turning, we suddenly end up at the entrance of “Menara Kuala Lumpur”.
A concrete coconut tree huh? So there it was, dinner at the revolving restaurant in KL tower, 948ft above the ground with a lift that bring you up there in 58second.
Seri Angkasa is the name of the restaurant. It was a beautiful place with good food, good view and perfect music. It is like my most ideal dinner to have on my birthday:- a little bit of jazz (my fav!), good food and good view.
Looks like Theen Kin remember what I like. HAHA!
So both enjoy eating and ate so much that we feels like fasting the next day. I tried raw shells and it didn’t even make it down my throat! It was disgusting!
But it is still a good try…
Some where around the desert moment, they were just playing some love songs and we were trying to digest our food and enjoying the view of the majestic twin tower. The Theen Kin say, why not we get the bill now. Well, ok. So I turn out to get a final glimps of the beautiful night view of the city before I leave. When I turn back, there it was, CHENG CHENG CHENG!

A cute little ring in a big box and he say “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”
The song, endless love was playing and my mind just went blank! Ok, lets keep it a little more romantic, I said yes.
Things are going faster than usual….
The best test to get a confirm approval is just to call my mom! And so he did, he talked to my mom and she was ok with it. Same goes to my dad!

So I guess…. I am a big girl now! HAHA!

Chinese have a myth saying that if you buy the car number plate that involved in an accident, you will strike lottery. Well, this is one of the major reason why traffic jam happened when there is an accident (people just slow down to get the number). But how true can that be?
Last Wednesday was my cell group outing, we were heading to Kepong for dinner. On the way there, I was just fall asleep. I was too tired due to three and a half hour shopping with my crutches in mid valley. Just not long after we passed the Damansara toll, I suddenly woke up due to emergency break. The next thing I know is that I heard a loud bang! O NO! It is my car! So we drove to the near by petrol station to settle the accident. This accident involves 3 cars and mine is the first car! (Oh! Heart ache) The car behind me was able to stop but the third car was to fast that she hit the second car till it hit my car. Sigh… Now I cannot even open my boot. My little viva needs to go to the hospital soon for repair. Praise God no one was hurt in the car!
Now back to the lottery story. Last night I got a call from my mom. She told me that my car number plate actually strike 2nd price! Sigh… Ah well… a little blessing for my parents due to my accident. Haha! How true can that be? It is just a little luck I guess. Out of the three cars only mine strike? HAHA! At least my parents can send me some money to cover my cost for repair. Blessing huh?

So much of worrying how long must I live with crutches, I have already passed my first half of my twelfth week! At least I do not have to bare the annoying pain much more even though my feet still have a little swell. What bother me most is that my ankle is still not bending as much as it is supposed to. Hopefully it will be fine! I want my flexibility back!!
I will be visiting my orthopaedic doctor again this coming Wednesday! Hopefully I can walk already! Well, walk does not mean to walk free without crutches, but with the help of my crutches. ~Learning to walk~ HAHA! The next thing is to build up my leg muscles again so that one is not smaller than the otherJ.
O yeah, not to forget! Praise God for muscular arms! HAHA! Can punch people already!
One leg kicking doesn’t really stop me much from my interest ~ shopping! Latest attempt ~ can still go for clothes fitting! But it is pretty tiring to stand on one legL.
~~~~> Looking forward to run again!!!
Two weeks down! Ten more weeks to go! What is that? I am counting down my days! For what? Well, how long more do I have to live on crutches before I can really walk again! It is not easy to live on one leg. Appreciate them when you have a complete set!
It is hard to pass a day thinking how I can go shopping or just a small walk around our neighbour with crutches. It is hard to go far with two sticks and a leg. I am getting really bored to sit at home everyday. Well, of course I do entertain myself with magazines and bible but I just don’t feel right. I tried shopping last Wednesday and guess what? I got muscle ache the next day. Er? Ok. Not a very good idea. SOB SOB!
Another dilemma! You just can’t do things on your own! OW SAD! Who wants to be my private assistant? HAHA! But I am trying out some stunts to reach the unreachable and do the undoable! Fun but you still need help in certain stuff! Really involve a lot of stretching and balancing!
Let’s look on the bright side! I can build up my muscles! Yeah, true!
Two weeks progress… my leg is more moveable now! Still swells but not so painful anymore! Praise God!!
hey! I am back! It have been a tough week for me. I have to fight the pain from my surgery. HUH? SURGERY? YUP!
Last Friday (30th NOV), I went for a surgery to repair my torn tendon. It was suppose to be a minor surgery but it turn out to be a big one when the doctor decided to stabilize my ankle. My heart was pumping fast as I was waiting for the doctor to get me to the operation theatre.
The time has come! The nurse came and pushes my bed to the operation theatre. It was freezing cold. To my surprise, They strip everything off me. Yes, I mean everything.. no clothes.. They only put a blanket over me even though it was only an ankle surgery.
One doctor came and inject the übat Bius through my back bone. Soon my lower part of my body begins to paralyze. The surgery begin….
The operation theatre was super cold. I just could not stop shivering badly and so the doctor gave me another injection to stop me from shivering. Well, it did not help. So they gave me a hot bottle to hug. OOO HABa Haba!
I was in the theatre for 2hours 30 minutes. I was in the paralyze mode for 6 hours.
The next day after the surgery – It was the worst day of my life. It was so painful! I could not get up because I was too weak. Could not eat much as well. Haih… a big pain torture!
It has been a week now since my surgery. I have gain back my strength but not all my appetite yet. At least it is not so painful now.
So what about the surgery? The doctor clean off one of my torn tendon, sew back a split tendon and stabilize my muscle. As the result, I will not be able to walk for 12 weeks. Haih… I am on crutches now…
Do pray for my smooth recovery! Thanks!!!!
When did I start my degree here? Hmmm… it is like just a year ago but nope! I have already completed two years and I will be completing my third year first semester after today! Wow! Time really flies.
It doesn’t really matter much to me though because each second passed will never return (unless there is a time machine). It is really great to see how much I have progressed from day one. My mom used to call me in the beginning (so that I don’t go clubbing) and now she felt much more secured (no clubbing but church-ing). Besides gaining my parents trust, I also manage to change in size (lost 2inches of flesh) and live a different life style.
I have one more semester to go, which means I will be completing my degree in another half year time. My plan is to go for masters but should I continue physics? I don’t have the Einstein look though. Psychology would be my second choice. But I will only continue masters is I have scholarship.. HAHA!!
OK I should be studying for my final paper now…. Just feeling a little stress…. Masters student’s paper… how hard can that be? Hmmmmm……
It was an unimaginable week. It was not how I schedule it to be. Every single second is like a precious second to me. Resting on my soft bed? It was kind of an alien thing to me. What is it to close my eyes with my brain resting? It was not in my world at all. I think my brain was running faster than the speed of light.
So what is it all about? I was caught up with my loads of final assignments, presentation and final touch up for all my subjects before my semester ends. I was not that busy before. It is almost equivalent to no life. But I will try to bring the life out of no life because God gave us life! Hehe!
Late night bed time and no noon nap are like my routine for a week. If you see me like zombie last week, now you know why!
It felt like as if I am just resurrected from zombie life when I hand in my final assignment this morning! Sadly, my stomach is kind of like rejecting the food I ate again… too tired syndrome…. Hahaha!!!! Used to have that few years ago where I tend to vomit whenever I eat!…..
Still sleepy… can’t wait to hit the bed and feels the softness of my bed… the smell of my blue elephant… the warmness of my comforter… with my brain running 35km/hr…..
Besides Paris and New York for shopping, we can always go somewhere nearer such as Singapore. No passport? Ok lets go KL then!
KL is one of the city with best shopping Malls. Not only one but many from High class to low class. The most well known place that is familiar to most of us are Mid Valley, 1 Utama, Times Square, Sunway Pyramid and many more… Lately, more Shopping complex are extending their business… such as Sunway Pyramid phase two and Mid Valley.
Yesterday was the launching (If i am not mistaken) of the new wing od Mid Valley - The Garden. Me and my pals went there after class and discover ourselves in a new dimension… Very different from Mid Valley. It is rare to walk in a shopping complex with a very neat doorman greating you! Man I think I look bad after class but it does makes me feel like I am entering a 5 star Hotel!
Here is a little bit of the new place….
The Lobby
Nice place to rest and wait… it will be great if the mantain it well.
Good chair huh?
This is a little view on the interior…
nic
e?
Types of shops? Hmmm… They are much better than Mid valley of course. If you are loooking for budget shopping, don’t even list this place in ur shopping list!
What kind of shops? Well, Mark and Spencers is there of course. GAP, Robinsons and Armani Exchange as well… you gotta see for your self…. what I know is that what ever pick up is atleast RM100 and above….
BTW saw in dress in Robinson… very nice but it is RM800+++…. sob* sob*
But I would say… I really enjoyed myself there…. Great feel of shopping… - Should visit for yourself!
It has been a busy week for me this week. There were so much to do and praise God, I managed them well. Last Sunday, I manage to crack the mystery of my final year project. After a great sermon from Pastor Kevin about creativity and the fire from Emerge (cannot, difficult and impossible is not in the dictionary), I was very determined that I can do it even though the masters student cannot do it. I do my very best and pray very hard because this will make a big difference in my grades.
My professor was very impressed by my achievement and he decides to do an article about it when I show him my result on Monday. The article was completed last Thursday and it was sent in to I don’t know what they call. If the article is approved, it will be presented on the coming yearly science conference which will be held end of the year. This conference will be attend by postgrads students and professors from NUS and
Chulalongkong
University
! Thank you God for the break through! Besides, I will have my very first article publish if everything goes well! This is not an undergrad student work… but I really thank God for this great opportunity! (Wonder am I the 1st degree student in UM to have my own article???)
I can’t wait to call my dad and tell him! He will be so proud of me!!!!
Still waiting to share the success with someone…….. sob sob….
But then, thank you Pastor for such a great word! Thank you God for a great opportunity!!!
